Chief Executive Officer
Jim Haynes is BRC's President and Chief Executive Officer. He
directs the Center's staff of research and operations professionals and oversees
strategic planning, marketing and workforce development efforts.
In addition, Mr. Haynes is a project manager whose clients include
the University of Phoenix, Maricopa Community College District, Phoenix Art
Museum, Heard Museum, the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Phoenix Sky
Harbor International Airport, the Del E. Webb Corporation, Beazer Homes and
Superstition Mountain Golf Community.
Prior to joining BRC, Mr. Haynes was Community Relations Director
for Phoenix International Raceway, where among other duties he coordinated the
market research and economic impact studies for PIR. While at PIR, Mr. Haynes
authored a regular column for the Arizona Republic which focused on public policy
issues and appeared in the Sunday opinion section.
Mr. Haynes served for sixteen years as President of the Phoenix
Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business advocacy organization in
Arizona. At the Chamber, Mr. Haynes coordinated numerous major research projects,
including marketing and membership studies, and public opinion research on major
political issues.
He also served as President of Western International University, a
private business university in Phoenix, with branch campuses in London and at Ft.
Huachuca, AZ.
Mr. Haynes served as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce
Executives and is an official with the Indy Racing League. His collegiate degree
is in journalism, with a minor in political science.
